Secretarial and Administration
(ref 3.1) A discussion was held regarding production of the handbook for Repton Members, now that this year’s membership list was up to date. GW had spoken to Steve Pogmore about typesetting, printing etc. Steve had stated that the electronic document formats may no longer be available – which would increase the amount of effort required to produce a new handbook. GW/SE to continue to liaise with Steve.
AO confirmed that Companies House have been sent the relevant documentation regarding changes to the Committee membership.

A discussion was held regarding the ‘new members’ advert that was published in the January edition of the Hilton, Littleover and Willington Advertiser magazines. Club and Team Squash
Team Squash Update
GW discussed in his report (see Appendix B) how the three Mens teams were faring in the Derbyshire Winter Leagues. He also stated that Gill Ford was inviting applications for entry into the Summer League. It was agreed that Repton should enter at least one team. GW to progress.
GW also stated that the 2nd team were through to the quarter finals of the KO Cup (against Kimberley Manor). SE confirmed that the 1st team were unlikely to contest their tie with The Manor 1.
Items outstanding from 22nd January
(ref. 6.2.1) AO stated that work had been completed on photo boards for 2006 and 2007 seasons. These are now mounted at the club.
(ref 6.2.2) An invoice had been received from Graham Howkins for costs of taking photos in 2006. IR confirmed that the invoice had been settled.
Internal Leagues/Competitions
(ref 6.4.1) Further to last meeting’s minutes, it was confirmed that the Time Tournament night had been rearranged to take place on Tuesday 11th March.
The issue of how to integrate new members and get them playing (more) had been discussed at previous meetings. Resurrecting the squash ladder was seen as a way of providing a competitive element and also providing new members with names of other members of a similar standard to approach for games. MA informed the Committee that the ladder was now up and running, and asked AO to inform members of its revival via a mailshot. MA is to ensure all new members are added to the ladder.
AO reported that the recent Club Night was not that well attended, but that the members who did turn up were predominantly new members. For this reason it was agreed to keep it going on a ‘once a month’ basis, with the next one planned for Wednesday 19th March. GW/WH to organise and attend.

Any Other Business
(ref 9.1) (carried forward) AO has spoken to Rolls-Royce about a friendly match with Repton (at Repton), and that they were keen to take part, probably once the Winter League season has finished in April. AO stated Rolls-Royce would probably bring 10-12 players. AO to fix a date with RR and report back to Committee. SE stated he would do the same with Burton SC.
(ref 9.2) (carried forward) SE raised the possibility of using some of the ‘dead’ space near the bar area. One such possibility was to have a pool table in this area. It was agreed that club member’s points of view needed to be canvassed before going ahead with such a move. To be carried forward to the next meeting.

APPENDIX C
Facilities:-
- Shower service completed
- Court Heaters serviced
- Septic Tank emptied
- Water Fountain dead - new chilled water dispenser with cups being installed next week (as per previous email)
- Meeting electrical contractor next Friday (7th March) to get circuit diagram/new safety certificate plus invoice for work carried out.
Web Site:-
Have only received match reports from 1st team since Xmas. Have kept site up to date by taking info from Derbyshire Squash web site and re-entering to our site. In view of this I now question whether it is worth maintaing match reports on our site - I could easily provide links from our site to appropriate pages of Derbyshire site which is now excellent in terms of providing all teams results, tables and rankings. All we would lose (at present) is Adrian's excellent commentries on 1st team matches
