LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP
The preliminary rounds of the 2010 Ladies Championship will take place on Monday 8th March. This will take the form of mini-leagues and first round losers will be entered into a plate competition.
PRESIDENTS CUP RESULTS
The preliminary rounds of this season’s Presidents Cup were held at the Club on the evening of Wednesday 10th February and after some very interesting and close matches, the draw for the semi finals is:-
Vicki Sessions v. Martin Allen
Russell Armstrong v. Ben Smith
Congratulations to the above and all who participated - these games will be played on Semi-Finals Night, Tuesday 20th April, 2010.
DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
The Doubles League to determine the semi-finalists in this year’s Doubles Tournament has now commenced. See notice board for details - all matches to be completed before semi-finals night on 20th April.
CONGRATULATIONS TO FRANCES AND JONNY
Congratulations to Committee and Ladies team member Frances Thompson and her partner Jonny on the birth of their son Oscar William in January.

BULLS HEAD SOCIAL SUCCESS
An enjoyable evening in January with staff from one of our sponsors, the Bulls Head, Repton has resulted in a number of new members to the Club. It is hoped to arrange another of these evenings in the near future.
INTERNAL LEAGUES RE-LAUNCHED
The reintroduction of internal leagues is proving popular, resulting in increased court usage and more members keen to participate.

HALF PRICE JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP OFFER
For those Juniors who only attend the Junior Coaching sessions on Friday evenings run by our coach, Lee Watson, the Committe have decided to offer membership at half the normal rate i.e. just £11.00 per year. Courts on Friday evening will also be half price for Juniors.

REPTON BAR ROTA
As you know we now run a member’s bar and are well represented with helpers BUT we could do with a couple of extra people to share the load.
Can you spare 1 day per month?
Repton is looking for members to join the existing Bar Rota to cover 1 night a month behind the Bar beteween 6:30pm and approx. 9pm. If you would like to help, or require any more information, please contact any member of the Committee.

TEAM NEWS
Derbyshire Winter League:
3 Men’s teams and 1 Ladies team have been entered for the new season.
It’s fantastic to see the Ladies representing the Club once again and we wish them well.
Men’s Teams:
The 1st Team was promoted to Division 1 at the end of last season having won Division 2 in some style. The squad has now been strengthened by the addition of Mitchell Cook & Richard Woodruff from other clubs to play for the team at 3 & 2 respectively. In addition, the decision has been taken to use the sponsorship money donated by TL Darby for the coming 12 months to bring in a high ranking No1. His name is Mark Fuller and I am sure Mark, Richard & Mitchell, along with Lee Watson, Ben Smith & Simon Price will form a formidable squad that will be capable of beating any other club on their day.
The 1st team will begin their home matches on October 1st and notices will be posted at the Club advertising the dates of future matches.
The quality of squash on offer hasn’t been seen at Repton for a few years now and you are urged to get down to the Home games and even bring family members or friends along as well. You will be greatly impressed with what you see.
The 2nd team has also gained promotion to Division 3 and we wish everyone the best for the coming season and hope they make promotion to Division 2.
The 3rd team will be looking to gain promotion out of Division 6 this year and with a couple of new members (Russell Armstrong & Mark Talbot) again helping to bolster the squad, this should be an achievable aim.
